Regularized Adjusted Plus/Minus (twice as accurate as standard APM)
Adjusted plus/minus is a player evaluation technique which is growing in popularity. Multiple NBA teams reportedly use some version of APM. APM looks at how a player's team does while the player is on the floor, while adjusting for the quality of teammates and opponents. Here we present an enhanced version of APM called regularized adjusted plus/minus (RAPM) which uses a statistical technique called regularization to double APM's accuracy.

Which rebounders are good at starting the fast break?
A fast break starts with the player who grabbed the defensive rebound. There's often a split-second opportunity for a fast break which may be lost if the rebounder fails to spot it. Here we look at how often the team scores within 10 seconds of the player grabbing a defensive board. NEW: For comparison purposes, we now include team fast-break trigger rates while the player is on the floor but is not the rebounder.

Which players' misses lead to offensive rebounds and second-chance points?
Certain players, when they miss shots, tend to generate more offensive rebounds than others. For instance, some players tend to break down a defense and draw help when they drive, leaving defenders out of position and unable to block out for rebounds. Here we look at the frequency with which a player's missed field goals result in offensive rebounds. NEW: We've added second-chance points that result from a player's misses to our previous results on offensive rebounds.

Which players do most of their scoring off of assists?
Some players do most of their scoring off of plays where assists are awarded. Spot-up shooters and big men who do lots of scoring off of alley-oops and drive-and-dish plays fall into this category. Other players are able to generate their own offense with the ball in their hands or via offensive rebounds. Here we look at the percentage of a player's field goals where an assist was awarded.
